yes it is dance music.. first and foremost, it was a ‘Jamaican dance music’ that swept out of Jamaica in the early 1960s,to shake the butts of working-and-midclass Jamaicans before going on, via the West Indian immigrant connection, to the UK, then to the world..yes it is brisk form of Jamaican-born rock derived from reggae and rock energy then it was popularized in the early 1980s by British “black-and-white” multiracial bands that formed a lighter faction of the punk movement..I say, the bigger the band,the better…yes it is yassa and his rude boys skankin’ this saturday nite to shake your butts!!
